Maureen Bruno Roy's Bikes

The Commuter, 1998 Novara –

Mo’s first road bike ever!  Purchased as an employee at R.E.I., Mo pushed 42-53 chainrings with an 11-23 cassette without ever complaining.  Sometime in 2000, Matt turned Mo’s road machine into a Boston-worthy single-speed commuter for her daily rides to Mass Art from Arlington.  Now relegated to commutes longer than 3 miles, Mo hops on this steed for her trips to the gym or to the Back Bay Yoga Studio.  Set up with super-narrow handlebars, SPD pedals and a fender on the back wheel, Mo zips between buses with reckless abandon (not really, but she could).
