Here’s the 411 on our big party on 4/11.

FAQs

I can’t make it to the party but I like to live vicariously through others on social media. How can I creep on you?

Easy. Twitter: #MMRacingESP Instagram: #MMRacingESP

Where, exactly, is the party?

The party is at HQ Boston on 12 Channel Street in Boston on the second floor.

Here’s a map for reference.

And this is the door you go in.

Is there parking?

Yup! Plenty. There are two lots with metered parking (the kind where there’s a kiosk that you pay and you leave a receipt in the window).

Cars are lame. Can I ride my bike?

Absolutely! There are a few bike racks outside and there’s parking on the loading dock but that closes promptly at 11PM so you’ll need to get your bikes out by then.

I’m going to put down too many Harpoons at the party. Can I get there by public transit?

Uh huh. Take the Redline to South Station and the Silver Line to the Silver Line Way Station… it’s just across the street and around the corner from there.

What is HQ Boston?

HQ Boston is a 25,000 square foot co-working space for Artisans/Creatives. It is a large industrial space with a large community area where the party will be held. Marty Walsh of Geekhouse Bikes has been kind enough to open his doors to us for out party. We ask that you respect the closed doors and off-limits spaces. Please, bring your kids, but make sure they don’t wander off. Translation: your kid is Augustus Gloop and Marty Walsh is Willy Wonka.

Will there be more raffle tickets at the party?

Yes! We have set aside a limited number of tickets for purchase on-site. Tickets at $50 each and will put you in the drawing for one of the crazy prizes listed here as well as a ton of additional prizes that will be available the night of the party only. We can take cash or credit card.

Do I need to be there to claim my prize?

No! If you bought a ticket online, the prizes listed on the BikeReg page, including the complete custom Seven Cycles bike, you do NOT need to be present.

However!

We will have a ton of other prizes at the event only. These include some smaller items that would be just too much for us to mail out.  For prizes NOT listed on the BikeReg page, you will need to be present.

Fifty bucks! Dang. That’s more than I can spend but I want to contribute somehow. What can I do?

Yeah. We totally get you.  There are some great ways you can contribute at the party though.

First, we’ll have hats, t-shirts, water bottles and a bunch of other goodies from the Amy D Foundation for as little as $5! Also, our buddy and MMRacing sponsor Dan from Grimpeur Bros, purveyors of the finest coffee, made a fresh batch of the extremely limited edition Amy D Lil’ Diesel Roast for $20.

Alternatively, you could bring a snack to share; cookies, snacks, brownies, your favorite dish, whatever you like. We only ask that you make a label of the ingredients for those with dietary restrictions (Contains eggs, nuts, gluten, bacon, etc).

I didn’t buy a ticket and I spent my last dollar on the T ride over here but I sure do love a good party. Can I still come?

Abso-fricken-lutely! The more the merrier! We only ask that you make your contribution on the dance floor. No pressure. Oh, and bring your friends.

I like parties but I don’t really like people. Can I hide in the corner somewhere?

Yes. We promise there will be a few quiet spots for you.

Will there be food and drink?

You know it! Our friends at Trade are making 100 small sandwiches for us. We’ll also have some small snacks and desserts.  We’ll also have a whole bunch of beer from Harpoon and water. We will be recycling all of the glass bottles, so please be conscientious about where you put things.

I love door prizes. Will you have door prizes?

Yup. We love door prizes too. So the first 25 people to get there will get a prize.

Okay. So what time do the doors open?

Doors open at 7:30 on the dot. If you get there at 7:15, that’s nice. We hope you enjoy the parking lot.

When will you announce the winners?

We will do the first drawing at 8:30 PM. We will announce the winners of the prizes listed on the BikeReg page.

We will start the second drawing at 9:15 and continue until we are out of prizes or tickets. Whichever comes first.

And then we will dance.

Is there really going to be a photo booth there?

Heck yes, there will be. It will be free and it will be awesome.

So what’s this I hear about a DJ?

Well, you’ve only heard about half of the story. First, Lauren Trout (one of the amazing welders from Seven Cycles) will be manning the decks. And second, Hannah Rossi will be mixing in video to make it even amazing-er!

I hear Matt has some sick dance moves. Is this true?

Yes. He has two moves. One is called the lighthouse. The other is him sticking his butt out scandalously. That move shall remain nameless.

I like to rock the party. Can I rock the party?

Hell to the yes. We can't wait to see you there!!!
